Oliver Reed rowing on the River Lea 1974
Actor Oliver Reed joins five young rowers on the River Lea to help them buy their own boat, a German coxed four Karlisch which costs £15,000, as well as to lend his support in their attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. For the last few weeks, the lads of Walthamstow, members of the Crowland Rowing Club on the River Lea at Clapton, have been training hard for a cross channel record attempt in a cox four on 27th April, rowing from Dover to Cape Gris-Nez.
