Lions Sculpture X
30 Jun 2001: A 30 foot high rugby ball sculpture, created from 12,000 mini rugby balls and mounted on a tee, was unveiled today in London's Regents Park to celebrate the first test between the British and Irish Lions and Australia in Brisbane. The ball, funded by Adidas, official kit suppliers to the Lions, will act as a symbol of public support for the British Isles side as they take on the World Champions in the three match series.
