(Original Caption) Margot Fonteyn and Michael Somes with the corps de ballet of the Royal Ballet in Swan Lake one of three ballets in the film The Royal Ballet. The Royal Ballet is the first feature film ever made by Dame Margot Fonteyn and Michael Somes. It was made for the Rank Organization by Dr. Paul Czinner, who directed the history-making Bolshoi Ballet and shot the Eastman Colour at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, with a battery of 11 cameras. It contains three of the best ballets in the repertoire of the Royal Ballet Company: Ondine, Firebird, and Swan Lake Act II.
