Ukraine's 18th Army Aviation Brigade Getting Ready For Combat Flights In The Donetsk Region

DONETSK REGION, UKRAINE - SEPTEMBER 19: Missiles are launched from a helicopter of the Ukraine's 18th Army Aviation Brigade on September 19, 2023 in the Donetsk Region, Ukraine. Helicopter units like these have played key roles in Ukraine's defense after Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. They helped keep Kyiv's Hostomel airfield from being taken by Russia in the beginning of the war, and they were able to fly undetected through Russian-occupied territory on to Mariupol's Azovstal steel plant last spring, on missions to deliver ammunition and evacuate the wounded.
