26 October 2016 - Sinjar, Iraq. Signs left behind by ISIS in the city are shown by a a PDK spokeperson. Sinjar city had a mixed population of yazidi, muslims kurds and Christians. The city was invaded by ISIS/Daesh on the 3rd of August 2014. Sinjar has been officially liberated in November 2015 cutting the asphalt road used by the jhiadi group as a supply route between Raqqah and Mosul; despite this new dirt-roads have opened. At present, the frontline is in the outskirt of Sinjar city. Peshmerga are waiting to proced frurther towards Mosul but are not on offensive.
