MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM - 2024/05/29: Police officers talk to a camp representative in the Camp of Resistance For Palestine after confiscating an Irish nationalist flag of a proscribed organisation. Students and supporters have occupied Brunswick Park now renamed by them as Dr Adnan Al-Bursh Park since May 1. The students escalated their occupation by taking possession of Whitworth Hall at Manchester University on 24 May where the end of year exams usually takes place. Protesters are demanding that the University Stop arming Israel and ends their complicity in genocide. They insisted that the University ends their partnership with arms manufacturer BAE Systems, end their ties with Tel Aviv and Hebrew Universities in Israel and adopt a policy of ensuring all research is ethical and does not contribute the arms trade. the situation has hit a stalemate as the university is refusing to negotiate with the protesters and the students are determined to stay in occupation until their demands are met.
