(Original Caption) Roger Maris of the New York Yankees watches his first homer of spring training exhibition games go over the right field fence in first inning of game 3/25 with Cincinnati Reds. Catcher johnny Edwards also watches path of homer thrown to Maris by pitcher Sammy Ellis. Maris also blasted another home run in the fourth inning before being taken out of the ball game. In 1961 Roger hit 61 homers.
