Solo Round the world voyage by Pheodor Konjukhov, starting from Drummoyne.Feodor Koniukhov on board his yacht.Soviet explorer Mr. Feodor Koniukhov, 39, planned his first solo expedition when he was six years old. At 15, part of his fantasy was born when he set out alone on a two-week boat trip. He was thought missing and presumed dead.Thirty-three years and 27 expedition later, Mr. Konlukhov still disappears from his home port of Nakhodks, near Vladivostok in the far east of the Soviet Union.Yesterday he became the first Soviet explorer to start an around-the-world boat trip, and he did it from Sydney in his 36-foot yacht, Karaana.
