Steps of League headquarters Phillip Street where IA Roberts was cleared of a head high tackle O Jaso Smith Durt G The State of Origin. . .NSW's Ian Roberts arrives at last night's judiciary hearing.The "most embrassing time" of Ian Roberts's career came to an end last night when he was exonerated of any illegality for his off-the-ball tackle on Queensland's Jason Smith in the State of Origin decider at Lang Park on Monday.Roberts had been cited by an Australian Rugby League committee comprising NSW Rugby League general manager John Quayle, ARL deputy chairman John McDonald and Queensland Rugby League general manager Ross Livermore following the incident in the eighth minute - a clash that left Smith with a hairline fracture of his cheekbone.
