(Original Caption) Taking the Lead. Kuala Lumpur: Recently elected to take the lead for the next five years in Malaysia as "King," is Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, 58, (top right) and acting as "Deputy King" is sultan Abdul Halim Mu'Adzam (left). The two men were elected by six of Malaysia's nine state rulers. The new "Queens" (shown respectively at bottom) are Tengku Intan Zaharah and Tunku Bahiyah. The formal coronation of ceremonies will be held at a later date, not yet announced.
