WWII German Military Cemetery in Normandy
Tombs at German Military Cemetery in La Cambe, Normandy. Situated on the main road between Bayeux and Isigny, and formerly the site of one of the original American Cemeteries before the Cemeteries were rationalised, the German Cemetery at La Cambe covers an area of over 5 acres and contains the bodies of 21,500 German soldiers who fell during the fighting in 1944.
