Challenger Wreckage
Wreckage from the Space Shuttle Challenger being lowered into an abandoned Minuteman Missile Silo at Complex 31 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, 29th January 1987. The previous day, Challenger disintegrated 73 seconds into mission STS-51L with the loss of all seven crew. Wreckage, remains and boxes of debris have since been held in the sealed silo.
