General Election 2010: Gordon Brown speech at Wrexham University; Gordon Brown speech continues SOT - It's employment with Labour but we know, from what we've seen, the Conservatives rejecting the school leavers guarantee, wanting to abandon the future jobs fund, the Conservatives saying they will not take the action we have to help the unemployed / a Labour government means jobs, a Conservative government as always means higher unemployment / this election is about the future of our public services too / we have built up the public services of Wales, and we have not built up the health service, schools and policing for the Conservatives to come in and to destroy that overnight and we will not let than happen / the health service was built from peoples' convictions in Wales / determined we would have a health service free at the point of need for everyone, irrespective of their ability to pay / we decided 13 years ago, we would invest in schools, hospitals and policing and a good society and the Conservatives will not match the guarantees we're making about the health service, jobs in policing, and schools and colleges and children's centres / a Conservative Party that says they will cut child tax credit for middle class families, abolish the child trust funds for people with incomes above 16,000, that make no secret of the fact there will be top-up fees for nursery education, that tells us they will cut the schools budget, that will not give school leavers a guarantee of jobs, and yet at the same time the biggest beneficiary of the Conservative manifesto - 3,000 millionaries who would get 200,000 pounds each extra as the result of an inheritance tax giveaway / it may be a fanfair for Lord Ashcroft but it's unfair to millions of people around this country and we will expose that day after day until this election campaign is finished / fairness is in our DNA, that's what is in our bloodstream and makes us tick, that's what's in our souls, we believe in a fair s...
