Senator Merkley concerned about mass displacement inside Gaza of Israel response to Hamas attack

Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley says in debate on a resolution later tabled to request information on Israel's human rights practices pursuant to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 that widespread bombing has produced some 85 percent of the people displaced in Gaza, and that a leaked Israeli Intelligence Ministry paper had a preferred option involving an air campaign in the north, driving people to the south to displace them into the Sinai in a spooky similarity to facts on the ground.
