Reporter: From school to the Royal Navy in 1939 and straight into the Second World War - you read any account of your father’s role, be that on HMS Valiant in the Battle of Cape Matapan or HMS Whelp in the Pacific - he was on the frontline, a key part of the Royal Navy Anne, Princess Royal interview SOT - You can't be on board a Royal Navy vessel and not be part of the frontline because the ship is the target. You're always on the frontline. It's genuine team work, you all depend on each other. That's a really good lesson in life.
