Far-right protesters rally against director Agnieszka Holland's migrant drama film in Warsaw

Several dozen far-right protesters rallied against the screening of director Agnieszka Holland's migrant drama film in Warsaw, Poland on September 25, 2023. The movie titled 'Green Border' has received vitriolic backlash from Polish politicians who claim the film desecrates the Polish uniform. President Andrzej Duda called out viewers of Holland's film as 'swine' after a World War II era phrase disparaging cinema goers as collaborators. The ruling Law and Justice party has been criticised for it's hypocrisy over migration after welcoming more than a million Ukrainian refugees but refusing to accommodate several thousand mainly Middle Eastern migrants following an EU directive to spread the burden of the large number of asylum seekers reaching it's borders via the Mediterranean Sea.
