Apulia is an old and traditional fishing village in northern Portugal. Since its inhabitants have taken advantage of the fact that this coast is constantly whipped by winds coming from the ocean and built these beautiful windmills that, although they no longer grind the cereal, are cultural heritage. Like the riverside mill, these mills used the same system to grind the grains, the only difference being the motive force, that is, while in the river mills they were moved by the force of the waters, the windmill is moved By the force of the wind. The wind moved a kind of small candles fixed on sticks (see photo # 4) which then moved the stone that crunched the cereal into the mill.
